Factor generators are used to define the fractional factorial design. They are used to determine the aliasing among the terms. The default designs are minimum aberration, or designs where the aliasing is pushed to the highest order terms possible. By default, the base factors are the first factors in alphabetical order, up to the number of factors that can be contained in a full factorial design with the specified number of runs. This can be changed if you want to.
