Definitive Screening

As a screening design it is useful for sorting out which factors have a significant effect on the response. For more details see DSD details.

Factors: How many three-level numeric factors will be in the experiment?

Categoric factors: How many two-level categoric factors will be in the experiment?

Name: (defaults to alphabetically ascending letters) Enter a descriptive name for each factor.

Units: (optional) Enter the units of measure for each factor.

Low: For a numeric type, the minimum setting for the factor. For categoric type, the arbitrary low setting.

High: For a numeric type, the maximum setting for the factor. For categoric type, the arbitrary high setting.

Blocks: The value in this box is the number of pieces to break the design into to account for known sources of variation. See Blocking for more information. Definitive screening designs can have up to one block per factor.
